Letter to the Editor
I have been following the story of Jonathan Wamback and his fight for life with particular interest. My heartfelt sympathy
goes out to him and his family.
A few years ago, our 15-year-old son was beaten and kicked so badly that our family doctor said that he had never seen so many
bruises on a body before.
The two men who did this never paid for their crime. They told our son that if he ratted on them, members of the gang would
come after his family.
We found out three months later from his friend's mother who they were. (His friend had been with him but had escaped by
running away.) These cowards work by fear and intimidation.
Unfortunately, while Canada is the No. 1 country to live in, it must also rank highly as the No. 1 country for criminals.
