Trial on hold to allow beating victim's testimony - COURTS: Police waiting to question teen who recovered from coma -

Jonathan Wamback's improved medical condition has postponed the pretrial for three teens charged with trying to kill him last
June.
Last Friday, assistant Crown attorney Mary Lou Dickie asked Justice William Wolski to postpone the pretrial for a month, due
to changes in Wamback's condition.
"We're waiting until we have a bit more information, " Dickie told Wolski.
The 15-year-old beating victim has spoken with his family and friends since he emerged from his coma about two weeks ago.
Last week, police said Wamback will likely be questioned.
But detectives are waiting for further medical progress before they ask Wamback for his version of the June 29th attack that
caused his brain stem injury.
Det.-Sgt. Chris Barratt of York Regional Police said last week that the teen's "cognitive" abilities don't appear to be sharp
enough at this point to assist police.
The case has been adjourned until Nov. 18.
While Womback continues his rehabilitation in hospital, the three teens charged with the attack are out on bail while they
await trial.
The three appeared in the packed courtroom Friday, each represented by their own lawyer and escorted by their parents.
