What's Happening to Our Children
What's happening to our children?
what's going on inside their
heads?
they're filled with so much hatred
they callously shoot each other dead
What's happening to our
world
how can we live this way
if we don't stop the violence
our kids will slip away
let's teach each
other understanding
how to tolerate and love
let's look for guidance
from the good Lord up above
We all
have a role to play
we can change things if we try
but if we don't reach out to them
more children will surely
die
The children are our responsibility
and we all must take some blame
we allowed violence to invade our
world
and it will never be the same
Now we need to stand together
and take our children's hands
we need
to teach them right from wrong
and make them understand
If we can reach even one child
And open up their
heart
then that child can reach out too
and change has begun to start
If we all continue to reach
out
think of all the hearts we'd touch
the chain of love would continue
and the violence wouldn't be as
much
So let's take on this challenge
for our grandchildren yet to come
let's not stop our mission
until
this fight we have won
